Cool Sum 41

It was inevitable that I'd have to do a shoot at the Glasgow Barrowland venue one day but, with it being the usual place for hard rock and metal acts to play, it has a notorious reputation for 'beer chuckage' that has made me steer clear of it... one photographer had his new D3 ruined when it got doused by a pint at a Babyshambles gig just a few weeks ago!

Anyways, last night Canadian rock band Sum 41 rolled into town so I headed out to shoot them - and what a blast that was; it was the most well-lit gig that I'd shot in a long time... I was shooting as low as ISO 200, 1/250 sec and f/4 at some points

Coupled with Deryck Whibley's on-stage energy and enthusiasm, I came away with results that I was more than pleased with. Here's three of my favourites

Hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I enjoyed shooting them! More can be seen at Getty Images
