Re: Canon EOS 450 or Nikon D80 for macro

With VR on the Nikon I reckoned on it being a done deal (how many times have I wanted those extra stops when handholding macro?) and I've always been surprised that Sigma don't do an OS (their version of VR/IS) macro. But apparently there's little/no benefit at 1:1 on the VR (true for all macro applications on all makes, I wonder, hence no Sigma/Canon?)

So, got to agree with Silky that either would be good. Personally, I like Nikon and would probably go that way if I was to start from scratch - and there is some benefit to be had from that VR lens!
