Well - as luck may have it, I get to answer my own question.
One of the Elinchrom D-Lite4's in the kit I purchased from SKD last week was faulty. I emailed SKD on Friday. Today I have a replacement head (sent direct from Elinchrom), and the return postage refunded to my credit card :-)
The response to my problem by Peter at SKD has been exemplary, he responded quickly to my emails, in a friendly and helpful manner, and has sorted out my problem really quickly.
I would have no hesitation in either using SKD again, or recommending them to others.
