I totally agree Jack but you have to remember that Dave already has a D200 and doesn't know how to use it

You should see him pressing buttons and fumbling through menus when you ask him how to set something simple - that's not taking anything away from him as a photographer.
Honestly, the only difference this will make to Dave is just that his bank balance will be a little less and he has a new toy to play with.
