Excellent! The only caveat with the Sigma 105 macro is that the front section of the lens extends while focusing, which some people don't like. Otherwise it is very good.

The desirable rival is the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro, but that is a lot more expensive.

Another to consider if you're into insect shots is the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro, which gives the same magnification from a little further away. It is, however, rather larger and heavier.
