I've just obtained Lightroom and am having a play around. Initial question is this:
I have a catalogue in Elements 4.0 but it's a real mess. It's a mess for 2 reasons, firstly that being new to cataloguing I did it rather badly, but secondly and more worryingly I moved tons of stuff within My Pictures without realising that they would get lost within elements (they all have the red detached symbol on). To get round this in Lightroom would it be better to import all my photos from My Pictures instead and then start all over again?
