I have an Acer AL2202W and have had it for about 1 year I guess. I have no problems with it, no dead and no hot pixels. It runs at a native 1680 by 1050 pixels. The 5 ms refresh rate makes it OK for games as well.
One point make sure your graphics card can display this resolution. My wife has her PC set up next to mine and now wants a wide screen. That will mean a new graphics card.
