Might be that they will do a job for you, even if it is in the short term. I'm sure they are not expensive.
I use fox filters ,set of four ,obtainable from e bay.I have had IMHO some good results using them.,One advantage is that they screw on the front of the lens ,so you dont have to keep removing the lens from the camera with the risk of dust on the sensor.
