At the moment it will be mostly the 70-200mm VR as the 17-55mm will put the camera into crop mode. With that and the 17-55mm on the D300 it will be a pretty even coverage and that is the combo I will be using at a wedding on Saturday (plus the 10.5mm on the D200).
I'm keeping an eye out for a used Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 so if you hear of any......
