I've got half a dozen of these off eBay (obviously not the Novoflex variety). If your DSLR has a decent focussing screen, they're quite effective. The trick is to go back to basics: set the camera to auto, focus at full aperture then close down to your working aperture. On a 10D, this will give you a good exposure 99 times out of 100.
