It's an interesting line to take, and I can seeing it having a good ending, but....
I think, like Charlotte said, this looks like an accidental shot. I know it isn't, and I
can see the idea here, but it would have been better - IMO - to have got some like-coloured rocks and put them near the shoe, then gone up close and demonstrated an artistic relationship between the raw nature of the rocks and the manufactured sensibility of the shoe.
Your daughter should know how to bulls**t like that, seeing as she's doing GCSE art
That's why I maintain that having 'the eye' isn't everything in photography.
