I've just joined the forum, so hello everyone out there reading this first thread of mine.

I have just upgraded to a Canon 40d from the 400d. Most of my photos are inside at Bowling clubs (not 10 pin types) in available light and I want to get in a bit closer to the 'action' (seriously).
I have in mind buying either the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 or the Canon 70-200mm f4 non-IS version.

There's probably been lots said about the comparative worths of these lenses before but I'd be most grateful for any assistance in helping me make an informed choice.
