I'm not going to provoke a reaction by suggesting that anyone should ditch Photoshop.
All I can say is that, for me, Bibble is all I need 95% of the time - no second-stage processing. In addition to the standard package, I have bought three of Sean's plugins (

Take a look at this....

That's a screenshot of Bibble 5 which is under development and due for release (hopefully) later this year. As you can see, it supports layers and a load of new features, making it even more of an all-in-one application.
I currently have Bibble Pro installed under Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) on an older desktop PC, under Windows XP and (as of yesterday) on a laptop under Ubuntu 8.10 (Hardy), and everything seems to work fine.
The current version of Bibble is a little eccentric in its interface, though OK once you get used to it. I think that will improve in v5. Anyone buying now gets a free upgrade to v5, and Bibble's normal policy is for intermediate upgrades to also be free.
P.S. If you look in the Bibble forums -
support.bibblelabs.com :: Index - under Bibble Pro, there's an Announcement saying how to request a free trial extension if you'd like to give it another go.
