I have bought several things from Onestop, including my Canon 40D.
I had a problem with the camera but that is not the issue, the issue is how they dealt with the problem. Here's what happened...
I ordered it and it came quickly. However, when I got it all out and gave it a good testing, I found a couple of the bits in the digital readout in the viewfinder were not displaying properly. Eventually I decided I had no choice but to send it back. It's not their fault it had a problem, they can't thoroughly test every new camera for minor faults like that, it's just the way it goes. C'est la vie as we say!
I really did think this was where my problems would start, what with sending it back to Hong Kong. Anyway, I got a reference number from onestop and sent it back. They said I had to wait until they had received it, then tested it and then they would send a replacement if it was faulty. I also wrote down the serial number in case they just repaired it which I didn't feel would be right as it was brand new.
I felt it would probably be three or four weeks but determined I'd contact them after two weeks to gee them up a bit. I posted on the Thursday. The following Tuesday I got a card through the door saying a delivery had been attempted. I went up the following day and amazingly it was my brand new 40D, a replacement, all working and perfect. If you disregard the day delay because I couldn't get up there on the Tuesday, it was 5 days from posting to receiving it back from Hong Kong!
Frankly I'd be surprised if I got it back from a UK company in that time, certainly no faster, so I can only say they far exceeded my expectations. Communication was excellent and in all my other purchases I have had no problems at all. Their prices are nearly always the best around and as Steve said, they'll price match as well. They also give loyalty ponts to enable you to get further discounts!
I can't speak too highly of them so I'd say go for it Ray
Cheers,
Rob
