Re: IR compatible lenses

I was not aware of the reference above and have never heard of this issue. I have used my 10-20mm and 24-105mm IS L lens for IR and have not been aware of the issues mentioned. However, I did find that using an IR filter with my EOS 20D, the exposure times are around 30 seconds and this meant such photography was not really practical for landscapes. Any movement is blurred which means any foliage or cloud movement. After I have replaced my 20D, I may consider converting it to IR so normal exposures can be used but I will need to find £250 for this.
