Steve, just so I don't inadvertently do whatever caused John's text to look unreadable in the black theme, could you tell me what to avoid please?

When composing a post there is the facility to choose font style, size
and colour "
like this" When this is done it overrides the forum software's automatic choice... the problems come when a colour is chosen that matches (or comes close to matching) a forum colour scheme background, making the text extremely hard or impossible to read.
