I should imagine it's a similar technique to the way Derren Brown and David Blaine do a lot of their 'quick' tricks.

You spend an entire day doing it over and over again, doing hundreds of takes until you get one right.

Edit - also shots one and three look like the cat has been dropped to me. But that's not to detract from the rest of them as there is some fantastic stuff there.
