Thanks for all the feedback, These shots were taken with the aid of a tripod, as for a decent one, well it’s just a Vanguard from Argoose :FIcamera0 , I bought it when I used to mess about with my camcorder a few year ago now. I know these very small things are quite nippy and flit about all over the place, although this one had it’s moments I just stuck with it and managed to catch a couple of shots when it got puffed out I think.
MATT. I know what you are saying about the fill light and think it is this that’s giving me the greatest amount of problems. They were only auto’d in RS, resized in PS with the TPF Action. I did have a go at processing them myself but didn’t like the result, (so they must have been really bad). I would be the first to admit that the majority of my pics straight from the camera or pretty poor (very soft and lifeless) and I have tried to rectify this with PS processing, this has helped me find my way round Ps BUT, at the cost of any confidence I had in processing and have certainly lost my way with regards the final image. When all I really need do is go back and take a better shot…..
Too tell you the truth, I am very surprised with the response to these pics, as myself I didn’t think they were that special and have seen some stunning macro’s from others on here before which look far better IMO. It really is nice to get such a response, it lifts the confidence a little. It’s nice to be appreciated, all except MARCEL that is :flipoff:
. Only joking mate, I know you got your lens cheaper than me :flipoff: , along with everyone else on here who’s bought it :flipoff: , but it really is good value even at the higher price. Saying that I did get a free 28-70, so I’m not complaining.
