I've found getting used to the top button press combinations was the worst, and using the Select button rather than a Set button in the middle of the dial on my 10D is a pain, but it's worth every penny and you soon get used to the controls. Ergonomically it's great with everything in the right place. Mind, I can't believe you think the shutter is quiet - It's well known for scaring wildlife and much louder than the 10D! I really bought mine for the weatherproofing as I like to get out and about near the sea a lot and I occasionally go out on the local lifeboat. 2 shameless plugs for weatherproofing ...
