The main reason for going to Chester Zoo was to meet up with CT and his lovely wife Jan (both of whom I hadn’t previously met), Cripple, and IanC. Matt and Marcel where also there and while I enjoy their company, recently its been a pleasure that has been regular.
My one aim photography wise was to capture at least one shot of the Orang Utans that I could be happy with. The shot below is full frame and with very minimal editing, I have processed the RAW file and then cloned out a small twig, I then ran the tiff file through Noiseware Professional to clean and hide the minimal noise but otherwise it’s untouched.
The quality of this shot is down to Matt’s amazing Sigma 800mm lens and his equally impressive tripod mounting system which made grabbing this shot a relatively easy task.
