Many of my Club members have used ProAm and I have sometimes used them myself (I usually use my own printer). With ProAm, you download their profile and convert your final image to their profile. Thus if you have a calibrated system, your ProAm prints will be a good representation of what was on your monitor. ProAm's process gives you a slightly wider gamut that sRGB (which many commercial services are offering) and this is beneficial if you edit in Adobe RGB or a wider gamut. However, the differences are small.
