Don't you just hate it when that happens
If you have Photoshop then use the clone tool to get rid of the main posts. As for the finer netting due to the complex patterns/detail/shadows of the players I would be tempted to only clone the bits over the ice & either leave the rest or try a slight gaussian blur.
For future if you have a decent zoom , you can zoom in on specific action / player & have the lowest f/stop chosen to shorten the depth of field & hopefully blur the netting (probably not possible if too far back from netting).
