Re: Canon 24 / 105 L IS Mk 2 test

It is good to know that it is much improved though I am aware that some batches of the original 24-105mm had flare problems. If you did have one from the faulty batches, Canon did replace them if asked. My 24-105 was not from one of the faulty batches and I tested for flare and it was very good and also good for infrared. However, I have felt that focussing has not always been spot on recently and recalibrated. I am still not convinced that it is as good as it used to be so replacing it may be a possibility. The problem is I would like to buy a EOS 5D Mkiv in the next few months and would also ideally like to buy a 100-400mm zoom. If there is a really good deal for the 5D Mkiv with a 24-105 Mkii, I will consider it.
