Yeah, I think the colour could be done better and would then outclass the B&W.
One thing that annoys me, and this is going to sound really picky and subjective, is the yellow '2' and 'j'* that are right next to each other at the bottom of the frame. They should be apart as they really distract me due to their shared colour.
*At least I think it's a 'j'. Have you flipped the picture horizontally?
