I suppose the first questions to ask are
1. Is it a one off problem, or are you looking for general rather than a specific solution?
2. Are you troubled by the reflection of the light source or reflections of other objects in the room?

You need to have even lighting; you could avoid most/all room reflections by working inside a series of black screens or curtains; by using two lights (one at each side) carefully adjusted to give even lighting, both with polarising filters and a third on the camera lens you should be able to reduce reflections from the lights.
