I think it is a corking shot. Just a big shame about all those empty hanging basket brackets and the satelite dish. As for the blue, although I can tell it's blue it is dark....don't know if this would help but try Hue/Saturation and select blue then adjust the lightness slider. Worth a try.
Used channel mixer also.
