Many thanks for all your kind and prompt welcome comments, looks like many of you are winding down in anticipation of the weekend.
No ETA on the D80. It's pre-ordered from Play.com and I don't know where I am on the list. Truth be told, I'm not that worried although I'd like it in time for Christmas!
I shall try and kick start an ordinary photographers rights thread later tonight.
