Well folks, I thought for me to move my Monochrome Photography on to the next level, it was time to meet face to face with like minded Photographers.
So last night I turned up at the
Cotswold Monochrome Photography Club, on the outskirts of Gloucester. Turned up 5 mins late

, but I was made very welcome

The night was dedicated to critiquing each others prints. Sitting round in tables of approx 6, a bunch of prints were reviewed & commented on , before being handed to the next table.
The standard of shots were extremely high, with some excellent print quality also.
I was sat with the main comittee members, who were very welcoming, full of humour & made the night a pleasure.
So I decided to join. The club has about 60 members (50/50 approx film/Digital) & from the few I chatted to, plus the work I reviewed, there is obviously a wealth of experience to draw on. The only downside for me with clubs such as these, are you only meet once every 4 weeks. Although this is fine for face 2 face meetings, I feel a bit frustrated I can't pick people's brains until the next meeting. Shows the advantages of online communities such as these........ now if only you could mix the 2.
I'll keep you updated on my visits
