It is one thing being able to listen to a whole album and then decide if you want to buy it but as Ian says when you only like poss 2/3 tracks it is a waste of money. I think a lot of beginners today take up Digital photography for the self same reason, you can view straight away and reject if need be unlike with film where you are stuck.
What is needed {IMO} is the chance to make up your own albums with the selections of music you enjoy and until the industry starts to take this on board there will always be people that will do it {but ilegally} I am NOT condoning what is being done on P2P sites but ALL of us are up for getting things as cheap as possible,Just ask yourselves, If there was a Canon/Nikon ect top of the range camera priced say £1000 below what its RRP was would any of you not buy it? you would all know it was a mistake in the price {therefore you would be stealing by knowledge}
