Re: After a twin tuner freeview PVR with "component" out
They - PVRs with component out - are as rare as rocking horse poo!
'tis bizarre that they all feature SCART outs when AV amps don't have this connection and demand component - yes there is always s-video but it ain't as good.
If you have a SCART socket on your TV then I'd forget about component for the PVR and go for the excellent Humax 9200 - 160GB hard drive, twin tuners, great picture quality and freezes about as often as you see a PVR with component out!
If you must have component out - and I'm in this situation having just bought an AV amp (which upscales and de-interlaces) and I have the Humax PVR - then there is the solution of using a box that converts RGB SCART to component. There are a few about - the JS one is supposed to be great but it's expensive at £145! There are others though at more like £60 which I guess is more acceptable.
Matt.
