I know it might sound daft, but the problem with these is they are all a bit too sharp! The first one, which doesn't have smoke coming from the tyres, could just as easily be parked other than for a slight lean. It therefore feels like 'a picture of a Mazda car' which would only appeal to the owner and Mazda fans. If you had used a slow shutter speed and got some blur into it, or even added a touch in post processing, I think it would have made a difference to it. Blurring the backgrounds off would help too, maybe using a motion blur that makes the car look like you panned to keep it sharp and thus introduce speed back into the shot.
On the positive side though, you have get good clear photos and lighting. You might need to give your friend a few quid towards new tyres.... they ain't gonna last long at that rate! <g>
