Transformer on a telephone pole

Have been reading and reading about ultraviolet white balance. I have come to the conclusion that a dark silver grey with a few dark shadows in the sunlight give me something that won't drown me in green. From the study my ultraviolet camera is going to be my just for fun camera,,I can see the color of doors on a painted car. Like maybe a white car and the doors are blue, primed before the final paint.

20D with a Braum 35mm f/2.8 and a minolta adapter.
This is about as good as it gets for now for me, I worked to hard to make the conventional ways work out. so a little Topaz.

Re: Transformer on a telephone pole

Boofers, Don't worry about it you must have had some liking or you would not have posted. By the way I am also still working with my 20D Canon, only 8mp but still gives great quality I can produce A3 prints with a little interpolation, nobody has ever questioned the print quality even when I entered exhibitions. I missed my CAPG qualification by two marks but my wife won it and she has a Canon 10D 6mp. She also got best print thirty marks out of 30. I did the printing.
Size isn't everything but it is how you use it.

Re: Transformer on a telephone pole

I like this kind of picture, no worry there. Congratulations on you wife win. I have three 20D's, a color and two conversions. The 30D, a 20D with a bigger lcd. Was the last camera up to the new mirrorless cameras that had senors that did not leak light, thus you get clear colorful pictures. Any slr canon with movie has a slight leak. I don't think it keams anything with a color camera. As for megapixels, Ken Rockwell wrote an artical called the "Megapixel Myth". A fine interesting look at what you just mentioned about your picture size. Google it, I'll see if I can find it also. Going on about white balance, I don't want to do forensic work and spending a few thousand US to pull in those colors. I have one more shot Of the blacktop on the road in the sun to try out, it's not supposed to be same as what I have. I have a red/orange sky with green brown silver blue yellow and thats good. Another like you said, "it's what we do with it, our cameras". Nice talking to you Colin,,,,, Steven

Re: Transformer on a telephone pole

Any time Boofers. Just another point while on the subject of 20D. Just after I bought it a member of the camera club very knowledge in digital told me to keep the camera set at 1/2 stop under exposure and you will not get burnt out skies which can't be recovered and any other bits are easily corrected. I have always adhered to this and it works extremely well. Good to talk.
