As you will be aware, there have been some changes made to the Gallery over recent days.

Along with the update to the most recent version of the gallery, we now have a mature content filter option. This gives Pixalo members the option to prevent any "Mature Content" photographs showing when they view the gallery. However, there are two conditions which must be met in order for this function to work:

1) Firstly, a member's Gallery profile (not their Forum profile) must be set to block mature content photographs if they do not wish to view them.

2) Secondly, all members uploading photographs into the Artistic Nude and Glamour Photography Gallery MUST mark the photographs as being of mature content during upload.

When the above conditions are met, no images with mature content will be shown to members who have selected not to view them.

The relevant Site Rules have been updated to take into account this second condition and can be seen here. Please note that the member uploading the photograph has the responsibility of ensuring that the images are tagged as being of mature content. Members who persistently breach this rule will be suspended if necessary.

Gallery profiles are set by default to show images with a mature content. If you do not wish to view such images you will need to edit your Gallery profile. To do this, you will need to take the following steps:

1. Go to the Gallery Homepage
2. Click on "profile" on the top right
3. Click on "Edit Profile"
4. Select "yes" from the drop down menu if you wish to block mature content images.

Finding a balance between allowing glamour photographs but not offending any members who may not wish to see them has been a difficult task and our thanks go to Steve who has worked solidly over the last two days to create this "opt out" function for us.

What an excellent idea. Thanks for the extensive effort that has taken to introduce Steve, it will be appreciated and is a very sensible way around the situation.
