Important - Members Gallery Space – free and paid.

To coincide with our server move (see here for details) we are going to be making a couple of important changes to your free gallery space allowance, paid for extra space allowance, and our current hotlink protocols.

Free Gallery Space
Currently Pixalo gives every member 10mb of free gallery space as a starter to allow you to upload and share your pictures with the community here. From the beginning of next month we are going to double that allowance to 20mb. Obviously if we did this for just new members it would be unfair to our existing members so we are also going to upgrade all existing accounts to 20mb as a minimum as well.

Extra Gallery Space - Paid
Some of our members have used up their free allowance and opted to purchase extra (through our offer page here). Since we are going to be upgrading the base amounts across the site, it makes it unfair on the members who have already dipped into their own pockets and bought extra space with us. As you will be aware we try to be fair with all our users so for those with extra space, we are going to be doubling their allowance too. That means that if you currently have 20mb, from the beginning of next month we’ll double that to 40mb, if you currently have 50mb it will be doubled to 100mb etc. You can do the sums

Extra Gallery Space – Bonus
It's all about being fair – Since we are doubling the amounts for anyone that has previously added extra gallery space to their accounts, we understand that it could seen to be giving them an advantage. With that in mind it has been decided that every member will have a one time opportunity…if you wish to purchase extra gallery space before the end of this month (up to a maximum total of 100mb), when we double the allowances at the beginning of next month, whatever base amount you have at that time will also be doubled at no extra charge. This means that you could buy up to a total of 100mb of gallery space now and we will then double it up to a total of 200mb at the beginning of November.

After the beginning of the November
This really is a one time offer of extra space and doubled amounts. If anyone after the beginning of the month requires extra gallery space it will be sold at the current price of £2 per 10mb extra. If you use the Members Gallery here you would be crazy not to add some extra space while this offer is on.

And while we are in a crazy give away mood...

Hotlink Protection
Finally, we have also removed the code that currently prevents hotlinking of images stored in the Pixalo gallery. This means that members here can display their Pixalo hosted pictures anywhere on the web. It must be noted however that while we foresee this as a permanent change, should our bandwidth usage and costs begin to show signs of spiralling out of control then we reserve the right to reverse this decision.

Yes as you say Pixalo have gone mad but in such a nice way

I do not think there is any other site that offers so much for either no charge or very little cost. Thank you to ALL the crew for this offer it just goes to show what a great site this is

Can that person please PM me to let me know who you are

Include your real name as it appears on the Paypal invoice/receipt so that I can confirm it. I'll then be able to add your extra space.

You don't need to go to the trouble of setting up a paypal account to buy space Geir, it can be used like any payment gateway, you can use a credit card if you prefer. Just click on the payment button of the offer you want and all the details will be available to you then
