It is all about social bookmarks and sharing content.

Should you read a very interesting or unique thread/post here at Pixalo and believe it to be of interest to the many millions of web users around the world, you can store and share the link on one or more of the biggest user powered sites on the web, four of which are linked at the bottom of each post.

You have to be a member to submit a link but like here membership is free. Once you are a member you just hit one of the links below in the thread/post and it will submit it automatically.
