Canon 400d and 400d Kiss x?

hi first time here, I'm more in the field of cinematography. But recently decided that photography might be a good practising tool to sharpen my skills in framing and lighting etc. (since film sets don't come as often as me holding a stills camera)

anyway I kinda decided on the Canon EOS 400d, looking around for a cheap price and on the internet, found a 400d Kiss X model

Can someone please help me out whats the difference between the 400d and the Kiss X? and which one would be better?

Hi Rodger, welcome to Pixalo

To answer your question, there is no difference. Canon name some of their cameras differently in different territories around the world, in Europe it is known as the 400D, in the US it is known as the Digital Rebel XTI and in Japan it is known as the Kiss X.

One thing worth noting if you intend to buy is that although the cameras only differ by name, Canon (along with most other manufactures) only support the warranty of their cameras when they are bought in the country you are based, or in other words if you import a camera from another country you will have to send it back to that country if something goes wrong with it.
