The only regret I had getting a 20D was the rubbish build quality
  . - I had been using a film 1NHS and once you're on the 1 series slope, you can't / don't want to get off.I remedied that last year with a 1D2n  |

Three times I have tried to post to this thread. count them 3! Each time my PC hung and lost it!! SO now I am sending in the heavy mob!
  (sees the posts above and winces) Retaking this thread with Canon (into the Valley of Death?) It is a far better etc...... Love my 30D. Like the missus's 400D but big hands struggle. Would love full frame but, hey, we all have a budget to fit to. Roger (if that is Ok with you Nikon folk?)  |

Now that I'm getting regularly paying work, I think a 40D is in the near future. I'd love a 30D, but the price difference between it and a 40D aren't too major, and I'd LOVE to have the low light IQ and fps that a 40D can provide. Besides, my XT does pretty well with wide angle low light focusing, so I think it'd make a great backup body.
I too have small hands, but had to get the grip for the XT. My pinky felt left out until it had something to hold onto. I don't think I'll mind the added weight one bit.

Just sold my 400d after buying it 6 months ago and although i was very happy with it i just fancied the 40d so in answer to the question "was it the right buy" id say it was at the time but 6 months down the line im glad i moved on.

my Canon EOS 40D is one week old
. works perfect (exept that i have to clean sensor - was dirty brand new from the box ). but quality of photos is stunning and i love it  . |
