Hi dave,

Just a quick comment on the Ixus 900 ti

I bought one last week from dixons after returning my 3 month old samsung v800 because of auto focus problems in low light.

The ixus 900 ti is lightenig fast at image processing , beautiful high resolution screen , small some might say cute/sexy with a 10 mp sensor

But alas this were the beauty ends ,

camera shake in daylight once you go past 1x zoom. and in low light "phewy"

( the strange thing here is the previous ixus models were upgraded with Image stablization so why not the ixus 900 )

Image quality indoors with the flash were equivlent to pictures from a 4 to 5 mp camera, which are full of noise or noise reduction masking , the samsung actualy gave a better overall result despite the focus problems.

i returned the 900 ti and got a Fuji f30 instead, aswome camera. will try to write a laymans review for the f30 in the next week or so

ii hope this little rant helps anyone who may be lookig to buy one of these cameras

I saw the three camera review on the Gadget Show as well. The Fuji did extremely well. It also emphasises the fact that the megapixel rating is not always what should count at the end of the day.

Did you see what they were offering as a competition prize? The most fantastic array of gadgets and LCD TVs I've seen. Worth over £7k. Yes, I entered.

As an aside, I still use my Sony Cybershot DSC-P200 (7.2 megapixels) as my "handbag camera". It's superb and has a very fast startup time.
