Decent compact as everyday camera

Anyone recommend a compact small enough to put in a coat pocket, but still decent quality shots from it (eg. as near as possible to DSLR quality) ?

Just fancy having a camera with me all the time, for those times I have not got the DigiSLR with me.

I have a Casio Z750 for this. Now replaced by the Z850 which I thought had a slightly inferior image quality but still good. Here is a detailed review from a pro photographer outlining why it is good for use as a go everywhere compact.

For me,

Likes:
Picture quality, speed of startup and use, manual overides optical viewfinder.
Dislikes:
Weak flash, I wish it zoomed out to 28mm equivalent.

I am still looking for an upgrade my wishlist is:

MUST:
7Mp or higher
Less than 1” Thick 2.5cm
Less than 5oz 140g
PASM
400ISO
Optical Viewfinder
Flash to 12’
At least 30-60mm zoom
2.5” Screen
1.5 seconds to first shot
