Film SLRs cont.

I need recommendations from you hardcore (or ex pat ) film users, on a decent (and pretty cheap, seriously can't splash the cash) film SLR that would suit my needs, ie: no odd film usage, full manual + aperture priority (if poss), and generally usable. Also, not sure if it's worth bothering with being Nikon specific, as most of my lenses are DX anyway (specifically for the 1.5x crop digital sensor). Additionally, if anyone knows of any going on eBay, a heads up would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Well, I have a Canon AE1 here that I'm looking to sell. I can't guarantee what condition it's all in as I haven't used it in ages but it does still work, that much I do know. Has standard lens and a zoom - will need to go dig it out to remember what lenses they are!

Re: Film SLRs cont.

My first SLR was my grandmother's old AE-1. I loved that thing. When I was out on Diego Garcia, she wanted a few pictures of the island before I left (for the postmark on the envelope). I scribbled an address on the back of half a dozen or so, stamped them, and dropped them in the mail. She thought they were postcards and wouldn't beleive otherwise until I showed her the negs. Sadly, she wanted it back after that.

Go for the Nikon F65. Its my baby. I have taken some great shots with it. You can pick up a body for a £100 pretty easily.
