fuji film s4000 OR coolpix L120

Simple question, Age 12, which Camera Fuji S4000 Or Coolpix L120
Me Personaly i would choose Fuji, just because Nikon Customers Services have a really crap attitude, or they did when i enquired over a pos repair on a lense, might aswell throw it in the bin, so in future i wil be spending my thousands with Cannon,,Same happened once with Volvo, i got a negative person on there Customer services and they lost out on a 27,000 deal...i just love it when i do that though, anyway guys which Camera for a learner who wants quality....
ASAP please, Argos are supposingly doing an half price deal on the Nikon...was it ever the full price?

Re: fuji film s4000 OR coolpix L120

As a Nikon user I have to say that the lack of a viewfinder on the Nikon makes it fall at the first hurdle. Also it has no manual focus and from what I can work out limited shooting modes that are essentially variations of auto.

So my vote goes for the Fuji as it has a viewfinder, better shooting mode options and the one downside that I've seen is the power zoom control rather than a ring on the lens. If it also lacks manual focus, the other advantages over-ride this.

Having had Fuji cameras I'm biased but I'd still agree with Dabs except that I prefer the power zoom control as the barrel ring tends to be a bit fiddly. One more for the S4000

Re: fuji film s4000 OR coolpix L120

I think I'll follow my nose with this one, I had a Fuji 602, I took it on all my Holidays in the Canarys, I looked back on those images, they are brilliant, I unfortunately bought my daughter a Nikon, compact total rubbish, over 100 and the pics were terrible, so thanks guys!
I recently purchased a Cannon G10, and what a little Babe, bit rubbish in Low light but Daytime, copes with everything I throw at it, solid construction. Thanks again guys, bit of a quick decision so Fuji Wins!

I think that you will be able to find poor customer service with any brand be it car, camera, shop or service provider. They will all suffer from that 'less than 2%' poor quality of service. Spxxxx had a poor experience with Canon Professional Service so within a week or two all of his Canon kit was sold and he switched to Nikon.

If you look at his old kit list, you can see that it could not have been cheap

Main Camera
Canon EOS 1DMKIII x 2
Lens 1
Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM
Lens 2
Canon EF 50 f/1.2 L USM
Lens 3
Canon EF 20-35 f/2.8 L
Lens 4
Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM
Flashgun
Canon 580 EX II x 3

Re: fuji film s4000 OR coolpix L120

I think the Best customer service I ever had was at A Sony approved dealer, if I bought something
From them and had no car at the time, they sent for a taxi paid for, and dropped in a 10 pack of videos, after that it was a digital lead worth 50.00 after that it was Something else, the theme was I kept going back, and so did all my work mates, and Family, after having my 1500 Vid camera for three years it was Dieing i took it to them for repair, they lent me a newer model that performed better, a week later on my return, the manager said keep that with a new three year warranty, that model was Thousand pound, yep I couldent believe it when the till opened to give me the difference, I guess that kind of Customer service gets talked about, and I guess that's why only two people worked there, small shop Massive turnover " no reps' apart from those that purchased over and over again, and when your workmates chat, they ask' can you Recomend" I guess working For a local Aerospace helped, those were the days, the only Customer Services who I have ever spoke to, and they listened with me thinking they put the phone down, to find out they hadn't they were mearley listening, that's something people don't do much these days, the company was Apple. And guess what, they called me Sir, and considering my phone was from the Car phone Warehouse, by morning a rather delightful box came with a Brand New Handset 500.00+ and guess what I'm telling you guys the Story, hoping that some youngster out there learns from this moral, it really does do not listen, and treat every customer like they own your Company, because without a good name, you go nowhere, and by this being repeated, might have pushed Apple Shares up another Dollar, or swayed another 1000 people to buy from Apple. Goodnight folks, all true....

Re: fuji film s4000 OR coolpix L120

I guess my Apple phone makes spelling mistakes also.
Just like other phones, guess what? I want a Mac Pro next! Maybe as a forum
we could be the first ever to buy weekly deals, say here's the item, get ready " Gone"
If we don't reach that weeks numbers, then no sale!
Just a thought, imagine 20 Nikon A1 lenses for a pound...lol
In my dreams,

Fuji make some cracking cameras well worth looking at second hand ones to like the Fuji S9500 or 9600
