Need a camera for the mother in law!!

Hi all,

Looking for a new camera for my other halfs mum.
Needs to be a compact digital, 5 million pixels or greater, largish screen, £150 or less. Anyone got any good/bad experiences to share??

Cheers,

Matt

Does size of the compact matter , as the the Fuji F30 is very small, yet has large LCD on the back. Takes great shots also

Doesn't really matter Dave, small enough to fit in the handbag I should think.....

Thanks for your comment

Re: Need a camera for the mother in law!!

Hi there, just noticed your posting, my sister in-law just bought my brother a very nice compact from price drop tv, they have been on before, might be worth trying there website, or sat night, the camera is a vivitar, 7.mps, nice large 3 inch screen, very clear, looks quite user friendly, fits in the parm of your hand, and feels quality, and good weight to it, not to plasticky looking, £67.00 looks the job, performs well in low light for what I saw of it, could be a good intro to digital, also as zoom function. also does movie clips, might be worth a look, for the price it did not look cheap, nice presentation box, ad very fast delivery, £7.99, you might be lucky and get it cheaper, it does vary on the night. " not like some of the rubbish i have seen on ebay etc..good luck.

Hello Matt!

I suggest the Canon SD 630/ Ixus 65. It has 6 megapixels. 3 inch bright LCD. Digic II. Auto and Manual modes.
