Re: Need Technical And Practical Readouts

If you are looking for a compact, the only ones I know that have a viewfinder are some Sony models and the 'A' series (and maybe some others) Canon

Re: Need Technical And Practical Readouts

mine is good
8mpx canon powershot sx100
can't go wrong with near full manual and manual focus lens for 150 $!
6-60mm lens

If you want real versatility, though, go for a DSLR and get the nikon d40 (6.6mpx?) which at least has it's changeable lens and a lot more features for about 300$ currently.

lenses are limited to digicams, being as you can't change them. Digital zoom is crap, disregard it entirely when buying a cam and look for the optical zoom feature. On mine it's about 10x but that's with the digizoom.
