Well after checking that D70's are only going for just over £300 on EBAY these days, I can't justify 3 times the cost for the D200

Dave - if you think the D70 is only worth £300, the decision is even easier. Get the D200, and keep the D70.

Over the past few days I have visited 3 Jessops stores in the Bluewater/Bromley, Kent area to enquire re the Nikon D200. On each visit I was informed by a staff member that there is a dispute between Nikon and Jessops whereby this model has been withdrawn from the shelves. I was assured that there were cameras in the stockrooms pending a settlement. I was told by one manager,with a nod and a wink, that the problems was to do with Jessops pricing policy.

Had the same last Sat when i visited Jessops store where it was listed at £1199. There system said "do not sale item". When i got them to investigate they said it was down to imminent price change, which we've now seen

I think the discount code is an error on their part though, as it was released when the camera was at £1199
