Yay! Just ordered my D80

Yay! Ordered my D80 + 18-200mm Nikkor Vr Lens + Memory + Bag + Filter, can't wait!

But seeing as i ordered them all from different sites pretty much...i will get my D80 body, then some memory cards and a bag, and then the lens arriving a month or so later! grrr... so i will have a D80 body sitting there taunting me because i cant use it...oh well...gives me time to read the manual i suppose!

Don't forget that it is required of you to post your first shots for us all to see. It doesn't matter what they are of or how much you think you'll improve..they have to be shown!!

Congrats on the camera

You could buy a 50mm f/1.8 to keep you going at around £80.....then sell on again when your other lens comes through

If you buy it from the likes of one-stopdigital , you'll probably lose no money when you come to sell

well done on the new camera.....I would definatly get the 50mm lens it's pin sharp with being a prime.

My mate was in the same boat as you......body with no lens

and to cause more pain his lens was 3 weeks late

thankyou...and on second thoughts maybe i will get a 50mm

...depends on the estimate i get from the store of when my 18-200mm lens will arrive because me being my impatient self i'll probably go crazy

waiting for it without another lens to play with

nikkor or sigma 50mm?

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with it whatever lens you get. I got mine as a kit with the 18-135 lens which is fine. I also bought the 70-300 VR lens which is also excellent, the VR works very well.
