Some very informative vids on using the camera as a commander with 2 sb800s on you tube for anyone whose interested and as for trying to decipher it using Nikons manual

Sois it any different from what I posted here for D200's ? :- What does the Nikon SU-800 give over Commander mode on D200 ?

I'm not sure what the differences are but I didn't have any trouble getting my camera to operate in commander mode for my SB-600. Do you have a link to the video on youtube? I did a search and there are a ton of them (interesting in itself but I'm curious to see the one you refer to). My problem is not getting the things to fire, but just getting the lighting positioned right, strength, colour, etc. It's one of those things that just isn't clicking into place with me at all - but that's a whole separate discussion.
