350D Owners, could you do a little test for me? (Maybe even 20D's too)

On the rear of the camera, the little button that illuminates/backlights the LCD display for 6 seconds. There is a little light on the button itself.

When you press it, does the button light up Orange? (Like the CF Card light). I could have swore it did this, but mine just doesnt seem to now...

I have read the manual and it basically states that when the camera is connected to a printer, the button has an alternate use so "changes to blue".
Which I don't have the facility to test.

I'm just not sure if it had gone or something. The button still works, just doesnt light up.

Neither does mine, at least when its used to illuminate the LCD.
It must do summat though in another mode becaused there's some kind of bulb.
I'll try and find out.

EDIT: the button doubles as the direct print button. It illuminates when its transferring.

Yeah thats what I was hoping.

I knew that illuminates (and its Bl00000000!!!!!), but the way the manual states it, it says "It changes to blue", which would indicate it illuminates in another colour normally.

So mines not broken then, glad you could confirm it
