[Ameritron]

hi everyone. I have a XSI with the combp package 18-55 IS & 55-250, and I have read this is an excellant combination. But I wanted a lens that covered more range like 18-200 Canon, or Sigma 18-250, or Tamron 18-270. I have read alot of pros and cons to all these three lenses. The money difference between them is surprising. I have read that the Canon has the fastest focus. I have also read about issues with the Sigma and Tamron not working with the XSI. I have the current firmware in my XSI. This lens will be for outside just having fun composing different pictures. I mainly just view my pictures in CS3 and tweak them alittle. I will be proud of any really good ones of course. But my question: Are the Sigma 18-250 OS and the Tamron 18-270 VC able to produce good image quality as the Canon 18-200? Will I have to decide on which trade offs I prefer such as price, focusing speed, and IQ? I hope I explained myself correctly. thanks for the feedback.
