Any UK suppliers shipping Canon 24-105 f4 L

As above really, just placed an order for a Canon 24-105mm f4 L IS from WarehouseExpress but Im way down the que and there supply seems to be limited.

Does anyone know of any other UK suppliers that are shipping these, for around the same price (£690), I know a few people have managed to get them since the defects were fixed but not sure where these were from or how long they had to wait for theirs.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks in advance

I got mine from warehouseexpress about a month ago but had to wait about four weeks for it (see here).
Jacobs had them available at the Focus on Imaging show so try there.

Grrr - feel my frustration

Thanks Mfwild13 - that sounds consistant
They apparently get them in batches of 30 at a time, the last batch (which was a few months ago) cleared their last backlog.

Try www.t4cameras.co.uk they look as if they have them in the price is £699 + delivery but they will price match because I've bought my tripods etc.. only a few weeks ago. I was very pleased with their service.

This includes the lens hood and case too.

try wilkinson cameras,www.wilkinson.co.uk, they currently have the lens advertised for £650. Doesn't mean they have any but it could be worth a try.

Thats where I bought mine, £639.

I knew I should have bought a few more for ebay sales ....profit would have paid for my lens

I would phone a branch of Jacobs and speak to someone,
they are helpful.

Mark.

Thanks for the response people

Got the girlfriend to ring T4 and they said the last they had shipped this morning (if its true, anyhow they sound more definate about getting them in stock)

Also on their site its listed as £699 (inc VAT), but on the phone they said that it was actually £669 so quite a bit cheaper - still undecided whether to cancel my WarehouseExpress order but its lookinh like I'll be going the T4 route. Cheers for the link Glen

Checked Jacobs and they have them listed @ £749

Mine was the last one in stock at Jacobs in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago, but it cost me £750.

Cracking lens, though, and the IS does wonders for my lack of stability. I've just had two rolls of slides back from the developers, and they are some of the sharpest pics I've taken, even the slow shutter-speed ones.

Now all I need is some talent

Not yet, cancelled it yesterday, couldnt get a definate timeline for stock.

Out of the few lenses I own, every attempt to buy new has been thwarted:

Ordered a 50mm f1.8 in September - no stock - long delay, so cancelled!
Ordered a 70-200mm f4 in November - waited 1.5 months, cancelled!
Ordered 24-105mm f4 L IS - no stock expected for a month min., cancelled!

Got in touch with T4 Cameras though regarding a 24-105 and happened to enquire about a 70-200 f2.8 L IS, and they said order before 4pm and you'll get it next day (no I didnt order it), but Im seriously thinking of holding off a few more weeks and then getting this one.

BTW this isnt impulse - Im intending to buy a lens every few (maybe 3) months culminating in possibly owning a 17-40 f4 L, 70-200 L, Sigma 10-20, 24-105 f4 L IS, and perhaps a 1.4x, I just couldnt decide which order

Anyone had any experiences of T4 Cameras?

Sorry for the rant - but I've had my fill of camera suppliers (or lack of) at the mo
