Back up body

Hi All,

Im looking for a back up body, i have a Nikon D200, it will be used for Portraits, Glamour, Weddings.
The bodies i'm looking at are, Nikon D70-70s, Nikon D80, Nikon D200, Nikon D1x, Nikon 2xs, i have around £600 to spend.

I can get the D70s for £200, the D1x all but brand new for £500, D80 for £500 and the Nikon D2xs for about £600- 700.

Anyone got any comments or advice.

David

Re: Back up body

I've always thought that other than when you upgrade and retain you old body for a back up, it makes sense to get the same body as your main camera to prevent lack of familiarity hindering you if you did need to swap bodies during a shoot.

Re: Back up body

DAVID, GO WITH WHAT YOU KNOW, AS YOU ALREADY USE A D2OO, IT WILL ALL
BE FAMILIAR TO YOU, RATHER THAN LEARNING ALL ABOUT A NEW CAMERA'S
CAPABILITIES, IF EVER I NEEDED A SPARE BODY, I WOULD GET ANOTHER D200

Re: Back up body

IN THAT CASE, SAVE A BIT MORE AND BUY A D300 AND KEEP D200 AS BACK UP
